Welcome to the library!

We encourage our students to appreciate books and reading by sharing a love of reading. This year, we are bringing the library to the classrooms.  Classes from our Pre-K 3 program up to the 5th grade get a visit from the librarian once a week. Older students may request books to check out any time during the school year for fun or for schoolwork and have them delivered to their classroom.

Our preschool and kindergarten students listen to stories each week and do related activities such as coloring a picture, doing a simple craft project or playing a game. In the primary grades, students learn basic library skills such as how to choose the right book and the difference between fiction and nonfiction.  Older students learn study skills and how to use technology such as the online catalog and databases as a tool to find information.
